Dr Jeni Saunders is a Sports Physician with 25 years of experience in diagnosis
and non surgical treatment of musculoskeletal injuries from sport, work or accident related injuries.
She specialises in management of all injuries involving the joints, muscles, tendons, and bones as well as illness affecting the ability to perform exercise or sport.
Dr Jeni Saunders is also involved in teaching doctors about Sports Medicine and is conducting research in some aspects of low back pain and injury prevention.
Dr Jeni saunders completed four years of Sports Physician specialist training in musculoskeletal medicine, sports injury management, and medical aspects of sport and exercise graduating from the Australasian College of Sports Physicians.
During her extensive 25 years experience as Sports Physician, Dr Jeni Saunders has been affiliated with many professional and elite sporting teams. She is a designated Aviation Medical Examiner for Pilot medicals, and also for drivers of racing vehicles as a designated Medical Examiner for CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport).
She has been involved with the St George Rugby League team for 10 years and was a sports doctor for the Australian Olympic team at the Olympics in Barcelona 1986 and Athens 2004.
Other sporting associations include the Australian Swimming team, the Australian Track and Field team, and the Australian Women's Hockey team.
